About 40 m after launching, the first obstacle (Steel sheet pile type III) was cut, & about 7 m was proceeded with normal pipe jacking.
After that, the second obstacle (Steel sheet pile type III) was cut & the remaining 15m was reached by normal pipe jacking.
This work was a water pipe laying work, in which a ductile pipe φ800 mm was inserted after penetrating a φ900 steel pipe.
Obstacles (Steel sheet pile type III) were used for revetment work during the construction of the Hizukushi bridge, & existed on both sides of the river.
